Intrested in pros and cons of magnetic vs non magnetic Gr@#$%y F8&%$(r and sh*&&*d [ or regular [ . Is one set preferred over another and why? I have a nice variation and can switch combos just wondering how others veiw them.

Myself I would Get A steal Core G. F. That way you can put it on a Magnetic Holdout And you don't Have to think about What side to put it on!

The m@gnets offer a little stickyness, sometimes you might toss the coins in the air, etc
I don't know of many places where the magnets prevent you from doing something. There might be a case but I can't think of one right now. Like check out Metal 3, Eric is doing Flash Coins Relit with OxF. He does the 2nd coin production move where the s@#ll pops off the fl899er, no problem. |

I got the OxF just for that Flash coins routine, but as Eric says in his routine, you could do a coin roll down and the S**** won't come off. I can throw the coin in the air and it remains intact, but it will separate if you do a hard coin flip (ie. 1920 private eye). Other than that, I don't know of a need for the magnetic version.
I should note that I don't have the non-magnetic set, so there may be more chatter when they are tossed from hand to hand.

I prefer the magnetic G.F. It makes it easy to end cleanly.

I have Eric's "Extension Of Me" DVD set and I don't see how you can get the s**ll off with a magnetic fl***er. The shim in the s**ll keeps you from getting the fl***er apart. Something I'm doing wrong.

I think I am going to stick with a NGF which is magnetic and I have a ferromagnetic shell (which is attracted to a magnet like a shim) and am going to order a non shimmed shell also. I see the advantage of a shim shell holding the magnetic fl@$%^r closed and clean but I like the idea of being able to seperate easily with a non shimmed

My Lassen flipper and shell is magnetic together...I can still do Eric jones routine and the point where the 2nd coin becomes visible works just like it should...I have both a Morgan and walker flipper/shell set from Lassen and they both easily come off when needed, but can be flipped in the air which makes them stay together beautifully.

I guess the shim in my S**ll is too strong.

Tc on my flipper, the magnet is on the portion of the flipper that opens...so in essence, when I'm doing oxyclean or fire coins, the open part is between my fingers for the 2nd production,, the magnet is not near the shell because its between the fingers...if you don't understand, PM me

Eric promotes the OxF on Metal 3 and demonstrates flash coins relit using that coin...
Also I agree with Troupers point above |

What I meant was that the steel shim is on the S**ll which keeps me from unlocking the fl***er to get the open part between my fingers

Give a little downward motion as you use your hand to conceal the open flipper

I have also experimened with a PK ring on my pinky finger to pull them apart, but not having luck with some coins wanting to randomly stick to it while practicing some slights. But if you are very careful - this alternative can work.

Poof, if he's using a locking magnetic flipper/shell combo from Bob Swadling (E.g., Triception or Double Deception), then they are extremely tough to separate without using the provided key coin. Do you have either of those?
Thank you. Jim |

I have Triception and have a NGF Morgan coming the Triception is in walking Liberty and only locks shut with the shim [ attached. do other makers make plain old locking magnetic F%^&*ers?

Yes I have the combo from Bob Swadling Triception. It will only open with the key coin. I have been using it with a regular sh**l.
