Hi tboehnlein
I think that article was what led to this thread. The article was published in the November/December issue of "The Voice of The FCM"

WOW, and Tim just so happens to be a really GOOD Friend of Brian's. Talk about a Biased Opinion.

So this has migrated from being a review of a product to questioning someone's integrity, wow Rodney.

I think Rodney has an axe to grind. I am no friends with Brian, and I will go on record to say that the review by Tim was very good. Having a Happie Amp myself, I can say that it does exactly what is advertised. Too bad Rodney had a bad experience, but that's just one person's opinion amongst many. Actually, he's the first person I read that had something negative to say about it.
Thanks to Brian's friend Tim for a great review!!!!!!!!

I do not have any axe to grind. I am a Sound and Tech Person and my review is that the Happie Amp is not Happy. I do know that many people really like the system. However, most people do not know anything about Sound Equiptment therfore they think that something is GOOD by a few reviews and that is not always the case.
As for Brian, very good guy to deal with and very personable. I owned the Happie Amp, Returned it and Brain promptly refunded my money. So I have no beef with Brian at all. We have never met, but from just speaking with him and his mannerisms I know that he is a SOLID Guy. Rodney

I am very happy with the Happy Amp. It suits my needs, came complete with everything for use right out of the box. It is light, easily transported and sets up in less than a minute. I have used it indoors and outdoors and it has produced clear voice and music sound with good volume and with no distortion or interference. And it has done it for a very reasonable price.
I have had three people ask me where I got the Amp and were interested in buying one for their organization. Admittedly, I am one of the people that Rodney refers to that... "..do not know anything about Sound Equipment.." I also do not care to know anything about sound equipment other than what suits my needs and what is GOOD for MY purpose and the Happy Amp fills the bill. The system is certainly not the best system or suitable for everyone, but it appears to fill a niche for those looking for a small, reliable, good quality-for-price system that is backed by the seller.

I've used HA for audiences of 30-50, and it seems to offer reasonable sound of my voice or mp3's.
I'm not sure how it would sound for a larger crowd. The only issues I've had with it is some feed-back, and "pop"s from the headset. The feed-back, and some "hsss" seems to mainly be an issue when I'm in my house, not in a hall. Brian said that that tends to be more of an issue in smaller rooms. The "pop"'s are coming from the headset (not the base unit), and I may just need a better one, or avoid clothing that prompts the static discharge. Overall, I am a happy, Happy Amp'er.
