I doubt I'll have the funds this year but next year we should have the funds for a good one off holiday, however spending 4 days in a hotel near an airport probably wouldn't be what the missus has in mind, unless we could do other stuff while we're over though.
So is there anything in or around the area (none vent related) that could make this into a holiday and not just a vent haven visit? |

Hi Bear,
There is more than enough in the ConVENTion itself to hold my interest, but if your concern is for the Missus, the hotel is about 10 minutes away from the Answers in Genesis Creation Musuem which took us a full 8 hours to go through. Next door to that is a new full size theme park with water rides etc. 20 minutes north is the Cincinanti River, with Riverboat rides, and a bit further the ball park that the Reds play at. From what we understand, the Creation Museum (Complete with animated dinosaurs and a scale model of Noah's ark) is the largest tourist draw in the area. Combine some of that with the ConVENTion and you will go back to the UK totally exhausted. Hope this infomation helps. Steve http://www.thedummyshoppe.com/blog |

Thanks for your replies, the Zoo would probably grab her interest, the riverboat rides would be up my street but she doesn't do water, gets sea sick taking a bath
What's the countryside like in that area? |

I went to Vent Haven ConVENTion once in 2011, when it was still in Drawbridge Hotel.
This year I will be going to World Clown Association Convention 2013 in Serawak, Malaysia. In WCA convention they use to have clown spouse programs. Maybe it's a good idea to be done in VH ConVENTion too. Beside going together to some tourist attraction places, maybe they can have a lecture about how to let their vent spouse buy vent figures as much as they want. |

Wow, Paul Zerdin is on the bill. He's fantastic! Wish I could be there but I won't be able to make it this year. Have an amazing time everyone!
