Recently I have discovered the impact of flash and fire effects in my close-up magic show.
A friend of mine has the inferno gimmick which I like very much but the problem is, it's not available anymore. So now I am looking for an alternative which also uses lighter gas and no flash paper. Is anyone aware of such a gimmick which is available nowadays?

I have found the inviso-torch...is this a worthy alternative?
Someone?

The design of the Inferno gimmick is largely identical to the Inviso Torch.
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 I originally bought the Inferno gimmick not knowing the origins of the design, then later only purchased Inviso Torches. They both work well in my experience, if you are careful. Regards, Ross |

Thanks for your message Ross! Today I received the package from the mailman.
As excited as I was, as disappointed I am right now. WHEN it works, it's beautifull...but only 1 or 2 out of 10 times the bl**dy thing works. Keep on using my fire wallet I guess.

I had problems with the inviso torch.. could not get it to light consistantly... often having to keep flicking the strike wheel. Its about as reliable as an old lighter. The worse part for me (that made me stop using it), is that sometimes it would not go out when I released the gimmick, and I my clothes nearly caught fire!

I had this and it was great but 'finicky'. I planned to replace the Flint wheel with a electric click lighter piece but lost it before I did. Haven't seen anyone selling them recently. I may buy another and try the replacement job.
