I'm still taking part but just changed jobs and getting used to working nightshift so finding time to practice and record stuff is my biggest issue at moment.

NeutronBomb: 50$ per month that's way more books that you'll ever need! I think that if you buy three books per year and really learn two effects per book, you'll have more than plenty to do... I think you should rather spend money seeing actual performances. You'll see what's god and what's not, and modify your performance of the 6 to 10 tricks you mastered accordingly.
Mikenewman: yes. Andy posted a couple videos yesterday, and I should post a few as well this week end. There hasn't been a lot of activity recently, but the blog is what its members make of it... P! |

I posted in May but haven't done so yet this month. My main problem is being able to record video -- mostly due to location and time. I'm a stay-at-home Dad most days of the week, and there's just not as much leisure time doing that as you'd think. I actually recorded my first video at work (I filmed it during my lunch break), but as college isn't in session for me over the summer, that's not available. That said, I have watched all the effects that have been posted and commented on them.
I am still practicing the effects, and picked up the full Complete Course in hardcover (the Cyclopedia is okay for what it is, and I'll keep both, but its size and shape is problematic for practicing effects with the book open.).

I guess this has died off. I PMd Andy and no response. ..
But I have the book now which was only like $7 total so I'm happy. Mike |

If someone can put their hand up, how about someone start it fresh? We have tried contacting Andy and hope he's ok. But I'm sure he'd understand if someone else got it started.

I would consider live interaction, but that requires setting aside a specific time and day, and that's very hard to do unless everyone is in roughly the same time zone. I'm not suggesting it's a bad idea, just keep in mind the limitations that exist, particularly in a place as world-spanning as the Café.
