Is there a website that has all magic ebooks? I carry my ipad more than books and it would be easier for me to read more. Thanks. db

Lybrary.com
L&L Publishing as converted many of their books to ebooks The Conjuring Arts Research Center recently began selling all of Harry Lorayne's material in ebook form. Peter Duffie has a ton of great ebooks.

Most dealers have an ebook section where you can instantly download ebooks, my advise is to read the reviews first, there is an awful lot of rubbish out there.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

All my books just recently on PDFs. Go to my magic website (listed under this post, with the word "magic" in it), click on Ebooks, and you'll see the list/prices, etc. HL.

I would heartily recommend ANY of Harry Lorayne's books.
I am not a card magician by any stretch, but his books are chock full of the moves, sleights and ideas you will need to hone card skills. Plus, he is a living legend in card magic...and he bothers to come here and interact with us. On another note, I would HIGHLY recommend that you find one of Harry's books that particularly turn you on, buy a hard copy directly from Harry and have him autograph it for you.

What exactly are you looking for? There are so many excellent magic ebooks available, you shouldn't have a problem finding something.

PAY ATTENTION! There are 2 types of digitalised books:
1) Those ones which are the way they should be - you open them and inside is text, it is not a photo. So you can copy & paste the text. 2) Those ones which are scan of the real book - inside of the PDF is not a text but photos of pages with text. The bad about this type is: they are not eBook reader friendly and also they won't show off well on tablets with "small" screen. Tablet / reader can not divide the text into the lines as he would need but if you want to read it, you have to be still scrolling the text from left to right line by line. So pay atention what you are buying. |

Whatever you do, don't go to The Magic Nook. All they have are e-Books, but they are for "do-it-yourself" magicians, so not only do you have to read text and interpret diagrams, you also have to get your hands dirty and build things. You may even have to print out things on your computer printer, and then cut them out, fold them and glue them together. When you get done with a Magic Nook e-Book, you have a magic trick that does not look like any other magic tricks you can buy in a store. When you perform them at a magic show, people won't say "I've seen that before." Stay away from The Magic Nook unless you like being different.

That's not very appropriate to flame the magic nook just because you don't like getting your hands dirty. Perhaps some of us like to make our own magic, and the magic nook is a resource to guide people on that.
Are they giving away corrupt or misleading information at all, may I ask?

PARAGON! Thanks 3 million (inflation) for that information!
I was born "BC" (before computers) and I'm still somewhat of a neophyte regarding the technicalities!!! Your post is most helpful.

Scott: I believe Jim Gerrish's post was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Read it again very carefully. It is saying "PLEASE don't buy anything from the Magic Nook. It will make you new, unique and different from all of the "cookie cutter" magicians on every corner. I LOVE being the only unique one in my area PLEASE don't go to the Magic Nook".
At least, that's how I read it.

Aldo Colombini also has some excellent ebooks on his site. All priced at $10 each.

See? Aldo Columbini sells his e-Books for $10. The Magic Nook e-Books are all $5.00 - less if you buy them in collections. They can't be any good, especially all those e-Books by that crazy nut Jim Gerrish who builds magic with PVC pipes and with Hardboard and Duct Tape. Really good stuff costs more; everybody knows that.

OK, you've been warned. Come on in, take off your shoes, put your feet up and set a spell.

I just downloaded the PVC pipe stage setup ebook.
Jim, can you please tell me the best way to make it resist windy conditions? Or should it not be used in any wind?
