Paul, you may be able to see the gimmick because you know what it is, but I promise that no one else can see the gimmick.
I JUST performed this for some people and the reactions were fantastic. I did it outside right as the sun was setting and the lighting was perfect from all angles. (Not saying it HAS to be done at that time, just letting you know when I performed it) But the reactions were great. Someone came up to me who thinks he knows a little about magic. And he said "I know you did some sort of slight of hand but I have no clue how you did it that fast!" So the idea of a gimmick wasn't even present. I will try this a lot more tomorrow to get even more reactions, but so far, I think this is a worker. |

Magic.Maddy, thanks for the update after actually performing it.
The ad says "Ambitious dot: The first effect is a finale to an ambitious card routine. You perform your usual ambitious card routine and at the end of the routine you draw a dot on the back of the spectators card. You then place their card into the middle of the deck and the spectators see the exact second the card rises to the top". I watched the trailer, but didn't see the exact description above take place. Can you draw the dot on the card, place the card into the deck and then with the deck not raised up, but they can see no dot on the top card and then have it appear? |

Quote: yes but that is my least favorite. The dot is close to the short edge and it doesn't really fit my style.

I suppose I could have spotted it because I am a magician, but I doubt it. I was just looking at the spots. Hey, to each his own. I am happy that you are finding your purchase useful. It just isn't for me.

I recently purchased this, and I am glad I purchased it before reading Paul's opinion above. I get it that it is not for him. Also, I'm not denying him his opinion.
However, it does bother me a bit when someone complains about the performers personality or how boring they are when explaining it. I don't need someone to be entertaining for me to learn the effect. I think it is up to me to make the effect entertaining! I think this effect is just awesome! It also opens up the doors for a whole lot of different ways of using the concept. I can think of hundres of ways of using this. Very nice work, Oliver! KJ |

You are welcome, and thank you for the effect.
You are welcome. BTW, I think your thoughts on how to use it are tremendous, especially the matris, but here are a few additional thoughts on how to use this: - Make a word appear or dissapear. - Reveal a card with the correct value, but the wrong suit and make the correct suit appear. Give out the card with the correct suit drawn onto the card. For example, Let's say the selected card is the Ace of Spades. Reveal the Ace of Hearts. Then, using the method in the download, reveal a spade in the middle of the card and hand out the Ace of Hearts with a black spade in the middle. - Make a person's birthday appear, first month, then day, then year. So many ideas, so little time... KJ |

You're about to hand out your hand and find a black dot on your email address which must have been from the sharpie you've been using. You then move the dot onto another part of the card and hand the card out. |
