I had a mess upgrading my Ipad to the IOS 7 last night. Just a bit of a warning. It seems I had an app that I had paid for on the IPad that had not been transferred to my computer. After the upgrade, Itunes no longer recognized those apps and it refused to sync with my Ipad for anything. All my music was wiped out on the Ipad and I couldn't get anything to work.
The solution was a complete reset of the Ipad and a restore of a backup, but I still lost apps I paid for and I I think I probably have to rebuy them. FYI |

I've lost apps and music during upgrades and, if they were purchased through the App Store or iTunes, Apple reauthorized them. It's always good to do a sync and backup prior to any updates.
Another tip - it's much quicker to do the upgrade directly from the device via "Software Update" than via iTunes.

Upgraded my iphone. IOS 7 is bland and ugly; I'm not impressed. The rest of the world is fawning over Apple's brilliance once again. My daughter says I don't like it because I'm a grumpy old man.
Looks like crap.

I kinda like the way it looks. But I'm surprised they made such a radical change, since it's rather obvious that many people are gonna hate it. I don't really like the changes they made to Safari, either.

I'm not blown away by the iPhone version because it's hard for me to read. I like the iPad version better.

Slide, shouldn't your purchases be saved in your account? It should remember what you bought.
Anyway, I just updated as well. They changed the interface quite a bit. I'm not so happy the iPad directories can only display 9 icons a page now. Other than that, I'm not so sure- I still need some time to play with it.

I know. I thought that happened automatically when you synched. I must have a setting set wrong. |

Call Apple customer support. They have the records of your transactions, they can restore them.
