So as a newbie twister my instructional videos (oops almost said videotapes)consist of Balloon School, A line worker course that consists of a book and instructional dvd, and various youtube videos. I am 15 minutes into watching this video and I have already learned more than I learned from everything else. My previous post consisting of problems with the dog-solved in the first minute. Wiener dog-not something I was really thinking of putting on my menu-but wait- make a couple of extra twists and you now have a giraffe! Bam! I am pretty tired after a hard day so I am going to wait until morning with a fresh bag of balloons to finish watching but was so excited I had to post this.

LOL.
Sounds like you got it bad man. Welcome. A couple of suggestions if you don't mind - Develop a repertoire of a dozen or so sculptures so you can start working. Just go out and do it. Even if you don't make much it will cover the cost of a couple of bags of balloons, which adds up quickly. Besides, you can't make a kid smile if you practice at home. Take the ones you DO make at home to a local store and give them away. It's much better than watching them die a slow death. Take a decent pic of what you make as soon as you're satisfied with it. This will help you make a "menu" and it will also keep you from practicing too much. A mutt is a mutt. Once you've got that work on a different animal, or a different breed of dog at least. If you're going to do it to make money get a wholesale source asap. This way you'll pay less and you'll have access to 350/360's, twister prints, solid color bags, geo's, hearts etc. Check out Continental Sales to get an idea of what's available. Also check out Balloonchat.co.uk which is a cool site with plenty of pics and ideas. Graham will appreciate it if you take the time to register, even if you don't post. Good luck
