Hello everyone
Times have changed and we've started seeing magicians on the internet everywhere, be it youtube, or even live magic. I myself sometimes practice magic by going through random live videochat websites and just performing to all sorts of different people. Then a new thing showed up, Instagram, even though it is not totally fit for magic with its 15 seconds time limit, The app itself is now on everybody's phone and is checked loads of times everyday. I would like to use that to spread my magic around, and gain more publicity. The thing is, as I said, the 15 seconds time limit. So what would you recommend? for a 15 seconds video? What would you perform? Of course 15 seconds means a very fast trick with no patter over it. So it is something for the eyes. The only thing I could think of was Crazy Man's Handcuffs. |

I post a lot on instagram. it is a very fast 15 seconds when it comes to magic but not difficult. Those who are watching magic videos on instagram are generally magicians themselves and don't hesitate to edit the video into sections. I would generally show a card and put it in the deck. then it is OK to cut passed all the shuffles and moves etc. If people are watching on instagram they know you have a time constraint and will understand you lost the card in the deck. however I do generally do a lot of color changes, levitations, flourishes and sleight of hand vanishes.
