Has anyone picked up Mr. Zarrows new video and, if so, what'd you think?
It certainly would be cool to learn this great shuffle from the master.

I haven't seen the video myself (yet) but it got a great review by Mike Close in Magic recently!

I have not seen the tape either, but from what I understand he tips some work about a sliding upper block variation on the shuffle. Don England learned it from him at Fechters, came in the shop and showed it to me. It looked great.

I have this video. I would recomend getting it on DVD because there are a lot of variations and get readies. The tape is best suited to somebody who wants to work on their Zarrow rather than for somebody looking for routines. You have to study this material carefully to benefit from it. The emphasis is on instruction rather than your entertainment. Hope this helps.

So the DVD has different stuff than the tape or it’s just an easier format because of the pause-rewind-slow mo-pause-rewind-play?
Type slow for me Paul, I’ll catch up eventually.

Ok, that was a little ambiguous. I haven't seen the DVD, I'm assuming the material is exactly the same. So what I meant was that it would be better to access different segments, and be able to review them quickly using DVD rather than video. It is a pretty intensive video and you couldn't learn anything from it by just watching something once or twice. After a few minutes I found I was just watching the handling, keeping track of what seemed to be the top of the deck, looking for a nice combo that I'd want to add to my little repertoire of bogus shuffles.

I have the DVD and I think that is the only way to go. Eventually video will be out all together and DVD will be the only way. You can instantly go to each of the different phases of the teaching and replay it over and over with ease until you understand it. Particularly with this item the ability to view a select item repeatedly is very valuable.

Anybody have anything to say about the quality of the material itself?
