I only have a few of these things left. Thank you all for your patience and your assistance! This one looks like an Adams Magic-type prop, almost toy-like, but I do not want to discard it if it proves to be a part of something larger.

It is made of red plastic and is almost two inches long.

It has a hole running through the center, about big enough for a thick shoelace.

Looks like a 'bead' supplied with a version of 'Cords of Phantasia" set..or it's progenitor: "Grandmother's necklace" froma beginner's magic set

That is what I suspect it is, it should have 2 strings/cords and also another blue and white bead to perform the trick. Not of any value, as the originals were made out of wood. I still have my Adam's Magic one in it's box.

The Royal Magic version was called "Hindu Beads".

StevieDee, I think you nailed it. Here is the promo photo of the Royal Magic Hindu Beads. I can't tell from the photo if the beads are wooden or plastic, though since it is a Royal Magic product I would assume they are plastic. Thanks again, guys!
