Today I received this ( http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S11186 ) from a member. It is basically in new condition. I know it was advertised as having no English instructions. But did this (like some other Mikame effects I have owned) come with Japanese instructions with pictures. If anyone should have the instructions and could scan them for me it would be greatly appreciated so I don't mess up this prop's preparation. Or if someone could PM with details on how to best set this up. I have an idea as to how to do it but do not want to throw caution to the wind.
I thank you for any assistance you can offer me. Regards, Jimmy

Jimmy, you will get more out of the Percy Abbott instructions for this trick then the Mikame printed sheets.
This is a full routine that is really great and magical. http://www.abbottmagic.com/Instant-Instr......oryId=-1 |

Thanks for the link, Bill. I may just get those to add to the ones I have.
I should have been more specific. I have Dave Powell's King Monte Cards and have those instructions. I am looking for the instructions for the Mikame prop itself or for someone who has this prop to go over with me how to set it up. No instructions whatsoever came with me. I think I know how to basically set it up but I want to make sure so it does not become trial and error for me with part of this.

Try contacting Murphy's Magic wholesale company. Some members said they could get English instructions from them, maybe they have this one on file.

Good tip, Bill. Right now I have no instructions so the Japanese instructions with photographs would go long way if I could get those. But English. of curse, would be easier.

They may very well have the Japanese version as well, just ask for whatever they have on hand. I just repeated what other members have mentioned. It is worth a shot, they are the wholesaler for Mikame products.

Glad to hear it worked out for you, and get one of the most important parts of the trick.

I will follow the instructions to set these up. But if anyone, who owns this and uses it, has any performance tips please pm. Of course the online demo video is a start but any performance suggestions based on experience would be helpful.
Thanks. Jimmy

Sorry to say I do not have this, so I do not know the gaffus involved, if it is different from the tradition Giant 3 Card Monte. I referenced the instructions by Percy Abbott above. I did that because I know a professional magician that feature the Abbott routine in his act. I has mystery and comedy in the routine using a silk to mark the Queen, then with a little tomfoolery added to complete the routine. Don't know if your apparatus will be suitable or be able to replace your the Mikame outfit with the standard apparatus, but I would give it a try. If you can incorporate the Abbott routine with the Mikame prop, you will have a very good routine that will please audiences.
It is only $4.00, but $4.00 that will be well spent, if you want a very good commercial routine. Just my advice and opinion. I have not steered you wrong yet, have I. I don't normally let magicians in on the really good stage stuff. Then guys like Scott Alexander can package it up and sell it for $1000.00. Everyone will think it new, and have to have it. |

I do plan to order those instructions as well, Bill. And I think for referencing them again. I appreciate your feedback and advice.
I will PM you, Bill, so you can see what I am talking about in terms of the Mikame apparatus.

Old thread, but the link provided was for the stand. The effect is Giant Monte by Onosaka.
