Sal is 100% the real deal. Those who know of him or of his work know what I mean. Not many people on the planet have his experience in the gambling world.

Greetings: O.K. this needs to be moved over to the DVD section folks, so could one of the moderators please do that when you get a chance. As to the material on these DVD's, SOLID!
Have you ever noticed that a real world gambling pro can handle cards far better than many experienced card magicians? That's what you are going to find here, Good - Solid material presented by someone who REALLY Knows what they are doing. Is the set worth it? Yup, every penny plus a lot more. If you are into cards, It would be in your Best interest to grab a set of these before someone really fools you with the material at the next club meeting. As far as what is on the DVDs: Vol. 1: Sal's Memory Opener: Memorizing a deck of cards instantly even when a spectator repeatedly shuffles the cards. This is a reputation maker. The Marlo Opener:After a spectator cuts the deck, you correctly name the number of cards cut to and proceed to deal yourself a perfect hand. Sal's Ace Cutting Routine: Oh how I wish this was not being tipped, but then again, if it was'nt, then I would not have seen it right? The deck is shuffled and then you dead cut directly to each of the four aces. and get this the next phase or item on the DVD is the same cutting to the aces without even looking at the deck. Lastly comes Sal's version of the Vernon Poker Deal which has always been strong material. Vol. 2 The McDougal Stack Outdone: where Sal stacks the aces into the deck and then deals himnself a winning hand. Paint Poker: 20 high cards are shuffled and then you can deal yourself a winning hand. Rollover Aces: The first time I ever saw this done was by my late friend Derek Dingle. You cut to the four aces, the as a kicker produce all four royal flushes. Stop: A card is selected and shuffled back into the pack. The deck is then dealt card by card until the specttaor calls stop to find the card. Riffle Stack: How about learning how a professional gambler can set up a deck by the use of a riffle shuffle. The Faro Stack: Four aces faro shuffled into the deck and then you deal the aces with a kick butt ending. 4,5,6 Packet trick: This is Sal's show stopping routine where he finds a spectators chosen card that they just merely thought of. This one will get you bookings. Let me put it to you this way, this material is so strong on its own, but if you were considering putting together a gamblers act, here it all is, everything you would ever need to do so, and at a mere pittence to what the DVD's are really worth. Do I like them? You bet, this is solid real world material. Mark my words, Magic Makers Inc. DVD's are going to really make you stand up and take notice that there is a NEW GAME IN TOWN! Of the few DVD's so far I have seen from them, I have liked them all, and mostly because this is the type of material that most only dream about in the real world. So Yes, I highly recommend Sal Piacente's Expert Card Magic Vol. 1 & Vol.2 All the Best Marty |

His memory opener sounds very awesome but to me it looks like a big collection of marlo ideas

If this is the same guy that I have heard about then his memory skills cannot be beat. I have heard stories of him memorizing 6 decks of cards. I have also heard stories of him memorizing an entire magazine, pictures and words, so he can use it as an impromptu book test.
Again if this is the guy that I was told about then I am going to have to check out these DVDs. |

Stache,
Yes Sal is the guy you are thinking about. He did the magazine memory and his RainMan routine for us when he was here for the shoot, they both blew me away. A lot of people have been contacting us to try and get Sal for lectures, it is sounding like he is going to have a busy summer ahead of him. So if you have a chance to attend one, do it.

I saw the demo video at Penguin Magic, too.
Maybe this demo didn't show most of the good stuff on the DVDs, but I think the above-average magician could handle cards better than what I saw him doing. Perhaps the demo didn't pay him justice? |

The push through shuffle looks good from the front on the demo. As cardman036 said, he is not doing a straight push-thru and strip out.

Yes, I'm aware that it isn't a straight push-thru, but still, it could be executed much better.

I do not see what the big deal is, this guy is good, and the dvds are worth it and then some. I feel people really should not comment unless they have the dvd in hand and have watched it all. To do otherwise is not fair, and is biased.
I have no financial interest in magic makers but I honestly feel every dvd I have seen so far is well worth the money. S. |

Well, some people in this board rely on demo videos to decide on how good a person is, and I believe that is not the way to go... I have ordered my copies and I will post a review as soon as I watch them..

I have and like them very much, and beleive that people will be suprised at how easy most of the stuff is,i do a lot of card work and thought these would be more advanced based on the advertisement but still there is some really good routines on this dvd set and can recomend them to any one with basic card skills to advanced.
