Hello:
I'm new in this Magic Café and very pleased to be here. I apologize in advanced if I make some mistakes writting, but English isn't my native language. About the topic in question (well, more exactly, about one of the topics in question) in this thread I have some opinions: In the first place, I am not sure that the shortest the routine is, the best it is. I think you can execute a good routine of 1 minute or even 2. Depending on your expertise, skills and how much time you spend introducing the cane before the dancing. As someone said, it depend on the storyline. Even it can help to missdirect the solution out of the spectator's heads... On the other hand, I think we should study also the handling of the levistick of these jugglers. Though it's a real pity it is done in this way, I think we can learn a lot of things. For example, there is a version, in which they use a long ... and the moves they can do are amazing!. Please, just check the next video after the 2:10. It seems as if the wand and the girl were completely independents one of each other! Obviously, our purposes aren't the same, they are jugglers, dancers,... whatever, but I think it'd be better if we take them into consideration. And I would like with a question regarding the materials... What do you think it is better: Tango's or Vernet's version? Thank you so much. Ah! This is on me! |

I managed to perform a quick dancing cane move in a Levis commercial in the 80's.
Blink you'll miss it but it is there! Balsa cane from Tannens. |
