Another favorite. Does anyone know of any Dove Thru Glass (the large version)workshop plans offered for sale? I checked Abbotts, but did not find any actual plans available for download. They offer instructions on how to perform the trick.

I believe the only plan is published in Jack Hughes World of Magic Volume one. The books are out of print, but PDF is available from Lybrary dot com for more then half price of the hard bound version $45.00. They are in no way detailed plans, you have to know a lot about carpentry to use them.

I really appreciate the information. I went to the site and the book seems like it is well worth the money.

There is 3 volumes, and I see they sell all 3 for $100.00. So if you are into woodworking, then it is great investment for all the magic he use to make himself.

Bill, where did you find the set available for sale? I saw volume 3 for sale through Viking Magic.

As I said, the books are out of print. Only volume 3 is available through Viking, so I thought it was not worth mentioning. I have a Volume 1 only.
The complete set is on the same site I gave reference to, I thought you could find them yourself, but I guess not, so here is the listing. http://www.lybrary.com/jack-hughes-world......071.html Again, these are only PDF (Portable Document Format) format, so you have to print them out yourself if you want physical paper. These book are large format, so of course you will have to set your printer to "fit to page" setting in your printer properties or Adobe PDF Printer Setting. Again, they are only worth it if you know about wood working. If you don't know how to figure missing measurements or enlarge the drawings as templates, sand, paint, and make the hardware pieces, then you will not get the benefit from the books at all. None of the information is detailed at all. Just enough to give a person the ability to make the items. I hope this was clear, if you don't understand, please ask to clarify a specific wording. |
