Hi,

I would like to make one inches holes in the center of a playing card.
I only found puncher with short reach so I can't reach the center Smile
And hand making with cutter and/or compass is not sure, and very slow to do...
Do you known where I could find a long reach 1" puncher... or have you other method to make such holes?
Thank you for your answers (even if they are not satisfying Smile )

Take a look at this page. There are a couple that will do 1" holes.

Hi Jacob

Thanks for your help.

But I would like to found a tool that cut in one time to be sure the hole is regular and as I need to use one of the circle cut the inner piece must be regular too Smile
And also because I need to make several set and the method must be quick...

I've had this same issue with punches that don't reach far enough. Maybe contact Mark Mason and ask how he punches them for his trick "Solo". There was also another trick "The (W)Hole Deck", by Marc Arthur, that had a full deck punched. You could try contacting him.

Hi Bill,
Thanks
I know well Mark, I propose him my routine some time ago.
I know and have "solo" but the holes are smaller and don't need to be "very" perfect... The (w)hole Deck, the hole is not centered...
I asked also Mickael Chatelain (french as me!) who has lot of gimmick with the "good" sort oh hole... I never answer me! Smile
Anyway thanks for responding...
If I find something I'll tell you

Hi Bill,

I ask Mark and this is his answer:
"Denis
I manufacture all my tricks myself. I have an industrial punch with tooling made by an engineer. I have to as I cut thousands of holes.
mark"

This is what I use, it works great.

After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

Hi Porfessor,
I have one and it is with that I made my prototypes...
But if you want to do many, I mean I need 7 for a set and if I want to make 50 sets for example... and can't be sure all are fitting well...
I think the best would be to have a puncher as we can found for 1/8" or 3/16" ...
But It doesn't exist for 1" hole (or I never found one!)

Thanks for your help Smile

Hi Denis,
I think I found a punch that works for this. It's by "EK Tools". I bought one and it reaches to the center of a playing card.
Here's the link: http://www.eksuccessbrands.com/ektools/P......0061.htm

I received the puncher this morning ...
It is ok to make 1 inch holes in the center of a poker card.
I have not done a lot of tests, but I can say that we can perforate 4 bicycle cardboard thickness...

I hope now it will work during a long time!

Fiskars makes an excellent set of punches. Easy to line up and lots of reach. You can get circles, squares, etc. in many sizes. I use them in a non-magic hobby of mine.
