I'm looking to include some sort of "liquid through body" routine in my kids shows, which I believe is called "Passing Water".
I think Kovari has a version - does anyone else in here do something in a similar style? Can anyone direct me to a good dealer? I'm looking for as much info on this effect as I can find. Anyone? Thanks, DCB

Been doing it for years in my #2 birthday act when the children are 8 years old and older. Play it for comedy and it works very well. No idea who is carrying it.

I wonder if you used unleaded for this instead of water would that improve the overall effect or just the title?

I decided against this - after considering how un-practical it is for kids shows - in a house. Great for stage, but most of my shows are in a domestic situation, and spillage would be inevitable. It'd be great for open air - street performing, even.
Thanks for your help and advice. DCB

You do have to be a bit careful in choosing your volunteer. I often ask three children to help. One to wear the prop, one to pour the water (which I help with) and one to hold the bucket. I normally say you have to be brave to do this trick! If one doesn't want to wear it - I just ask the next child. Mark |

Here are a couple of video links to performances of Kovari's Passing Water. I hope it's okay to post them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NrpYk9gDxI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXMtpO8P1bQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OOBT4AgMpI I think that the first link is Kovari's original version of Passing Water and the second and third links feature the newer Two Part Passing Water. I am also thinking of getting this effect. With the 'Two Part' version, I like that you can show both parts completely unconnected (if you want to) before performing the illusion. For me, it seems to add an extra layer of impossibility to the routine. |
