The Hat & Rabbit Club is back!
Our new season at the Club starts Thursday, September 10 (after labour day) and we look forward to welcoming everyone back after a lovely break. To launch the new year, we’re delighted to be presenting an evening with Toronto’s own David Ben. You can renew your membership at www.ibmring17.com You can also pay or buy individual tickets at the door. When: Thursday, September 10 — 7:00 PM Where: St. Leonard’s Church (25 Wanless Ave) Admission: Free for members ($30 for guests) Years ago, David was the protege of Ross Bertram — the Canadian master magician who was featured along with Dai Vernon in the original Stars of Magic series. Those who have spent time with him know that his thinking and approach to magic are truly different from most. David has spent the bulk of his career performing for the public and has produced intricate and elaborate stage productions which include The Conjuror, The Conjuror’s Suite, Tricks and Natural Magick. He also works behind the scenes. As the Artistic Director of Magicana he has helped publish major magic books, the magazine Magicol and has presented shows for visiting performers like Max Maven, Banacheck, Mac King and Juan Tamariz. He is the author of Dai Vernon: A Biography, Zarrow: A Lifetime of Magic and most recently The Experts at the Card Table. For a bit of a preview, you can visit the Magicana website (http://www.magicana.com/buy/downloads) where David gives an in depth look at two pieces made famous in the Stars of Magic: The Ambitious Card and Ross Bertram’s Coin Assembly. The videos are free to watch online for a limited time |

David Ben is brilliant and has seen and done it all. You are in for a huge treat.. he truly understands the subtleties to take an effect to the next level. If Julie is there, tell her I said hi as well.. she really is a wonder. Wish I could be there.
