Love PayPal. Really easy to use. Wondering of Theory 11 have opted for this as a useful payment method? Could spend a fortune there but can't.
All the best Greig |

Paypal's customer service is useless if you need something from them... And if you ever want to try canceling them .... like I did.. Good luck.. They hold ANY money you have with them for 6 months until they will release it to you.. and then it will be in the form a check that you have to wait for.
Even using paypal / E-Bays.. postage service with their delivery confirmation.. I have had my 3rd customer (after which I then DUMPED paypal) all a buyer has to do is"just SAY" they did not receive their item.. whether you used delivery confirmation or paypal';s system.. and BOOM!! your item is gone and so is your money.. as Paypal refunds the buyer whether you have proof or not of the delivery.. I have Lost out on $100's of dollars because of this. So if there's somethiNG you really really want.. Buy it.. then open a case and tell paypal you didn't receive it.. You get the item for free.. and then in 10 days when PP makes their decision.. you get your money back too!!.. It's a wonderful service !!! Free items and your money back. Eddy

Only bad thing is, they take a fee that you owe to paypal, and, if you sold that item on ebay, you have an ebay fee too! Which sucks because ebay owns paypal, so I don't see why they need 2 fee systems.

What an old thread but fun. Paypal is great unless you are travelling overseas. They have so many security checks in play it is hard to request money. If staying in the US I highly recommend Square a little dongle that plugs into the ear phone jack of your tablet or phone and you can swipe credit cards it looks so much better working a trade show and getting paid that way!

Paypal is great until you run into complications. You probably won't if you have a simple business modell of selling something and someone buying it, and you sell quality products/services.
There were a few weird cases this year where companies ran KickStarter/IndieGogo campaigns (community funding), and PayPal didn't give the full amount of the pledgers' money to the groups/companies (they held the bigger part in reserve), because "they couldn't guarantee the quality or the completion" of their project, thus making the funding itself impossible.
