How have you started learning billard balls manipulation? Do you recommend some tutorials?

If you want to learn by DVD, I recommend Levent's Complete Guide to Billiard Balls (or it has some similar title) it is the most comprehensive study.
If you want to learn from books, the Wakeling book has a great routine, and there is of course an extended chapter (or two) in Levent's book on Roy Benson. Burling Hull's old books are quite good and easier to find are the chapters in Henry Hay's Amateur Magician's Handbook, and Gibson's (confusingly titled) Complete Encyclopedia of Close up Magic. A different approach can be found in the recent book about Ade Duval's Magic. two other sources... but not easy to find, are Side Arm Snookery by Richard Kaufman (unusual plots and sequences) and Rooklyn's Recollections of a Pro with his notable routine.

Ron won a competition with it, and so did I (Young Magician of the Year 1978). I just wish they had the silicon balls you can get now when I was learning. I used 2 inch wooden balls. It was hard to control them when you were sweating, as the balls slipped a lot. With these silicon balls, they don't slip at all no matter what condition your hands are in. |

After you've learned the basics, if your appetite has been whetted for more, in addition to the great suggestions above, you might also check the extensive list of billiard ball magic sources at The Magic Reference Pages:
http://magicref.tripod.com/magref/magball.htm Tim Wright's DVD also has some great ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O04BIIvxboA ----- Amado "Sonny" Narvaez

Robert's suggestion of _Routined Manipulations_ as a source for Billiard Ball routines is great.
Specifically, you will want to take a look at _Routined Manipulations, Part II_. Here's a link to the contents of that book on The Magic Reference Pages: http://magicref.tripod.com/books/gansonl......n1-2.htm ----- Amado "Sonny" Narvaez

Bruce Elliott's _Classic Secrets of Magic_ had a nice section on the multiplying billiard balls. Here are the pages references from the Magic Reference Pages entry for the Elliott book:
Chapter 9: Billiards, Magic Style Multiplying Billiard Balls (Walter B. Gibson): with a standard set and a handkerchief Jack Chanin Move: for vanishing the balls Advanced Routine (Walter B. Gibson): adds color changes and a fifth ball
