Can this be done some what close up? Any pro or con comments? Any demo web sites. Thanks

I assume you man the Richard Gerlitz effect. I had La Glace Liquide and it was excellent. The working was very quiet. I don't think it is a usual close-up effect. I would say it's usable without discovering the working from 10 feet.
