I store the latex dove in the box it came in.

It was stored vertical for a while and the neck has a crease in it.

Has anyone fixed a problem like this? And how did you do it.

When I email Neilsen Magic they are helpful and nice but tell me to buy a new one.

I use the latex dove in every show.

Thanks for any help.

Depending on the additive in the latex.

You might be able to use heat (blow dryer) to minimize the wrinkle.

If your lucky it will completely disappear.

Be careful not to damage the dove.

If all else fails, you have to buy a new dove. During storage I would stuff it with cotton balls to maintain its shape.

I recently repaired a latex mask that was crumbling to bits. Different problem to your crease but I did a lot of research on how to fix latex in the process. A hairdryer, as mentioned by gothike, would probably be the first thing you'd want to try.
Alternatively, and this is what I did, you can buy liquid latex easily and cheaply online, then paint it on and rebuild any creases or marks.
You'd then have to paint it to get the colour match.

You could also try to fill the dove up with hot water.
I like the idea with cotton balls to maintain its shape.
Those Styrofoam peanuts might also work.
You also might take a balloon and blow it up inside to keep the latex shell from collapsing.
Hope this helps!

You're welcome! I hope it helps. It's disappointing spending a lot of money on these props and face having to get a new prop to replace the old one. I can't tell you how many thumbs went through the wash! lol
But when I had my "What The" go through the wash and lost an eye in the process, I was disappointed. Although it DID make the critter more scraggly! Smile

I have one and just kinda roll it up in a ball and stuff it in my case.
I never thought to worry about it losing its shape.
I've had it for years with no issue.

I have a spare sitting in its original box. I've never used it.
I've used the first one for so long I wouldn't mind if I had to buy a new one to replace it.
