After 20 years of operation, Camp Director Mike Segal has no plan to reopen the Sorcerers Safari magic camp for youth. Mike has had a very good run over the past two decades with Sorcerers Safari magic camp located in the Canadian forest. Thousands of youngsters from all over the world traveled to Canada to be part of this unique experience. More than just a camp with magic curriculum, this was a full scale camping experience complete with water sports, a dining hall, camp dorms and more. For those who may have seen the 1979 feature film, "Meatballs", this was the site location for that movie.
Over the years, Sorcerers Safari had a host of outstanding counselors and guest lecturers including Michael Close, Shawn Farquhar, Aaron Fisher, Lee Asher, Brad Henderson, Johnny "Ace" Palmer, and many, many more. I am certain that many of the campers will go on to become skilled magicians some of whom we might even see in Las Vegas or on television! You can watch a video of some 2016 camp highlights, see some photos, read the blog, listen to the podcast online, and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/scot......s-safari You can now download The Magic Word on your Android phone or tablet. Congratulations to Pat Darienzo who is the winner in our recent contest for "Danny Archer Goes Mental", an eBook offered by one of our recent podcast guests, Danny Archer. Thank you, Danny, for your generosity.
