I recently obtained a set of two nesting bottles. They are aluminum, but look 100% like shiny dark brown glass long-neck beer bottles. The mouths have a proper bulge and a rolled lip which looks exactly right, even from the top. The labels are real, but vintage, ASARI Lager Beer labels, from Toyko, Japan. THese look perfect, and nest perfectly. Because of the rolled lip, the shorter bottle is about half an inch shorter, but they 11 inches tall nested.
Does anybody have any clue about the origin, age, or manufacturer of these ? They are absolutely fabulous quality. |

Does anyone know how to get this web site in English? I collect bottle tricks and would like to add this to my collection.

Unless the manufacturer deliberately altered it, I believe the correct spelling for that brand of Japanese beer is "Asahi" (with an "h" instead of an "r").

The bottles look the same as mine.... but the labels are more like the modern Asahi beer labels, and my labels are what you find if you google 'vintage Asahi label' (they have a rising sun). Mine are really fine.... I would assume that the new ones are as well.
Thanks, all, CLyde Hayre |

In my first post, I mistakenly typed ASARI.... I meant ASAHI, which is what is printed on my bottles
