Ringmaster: I assume you mean Milton Berle. Yes; he used to come in with friends to see me perform when I was doing table magic at Billy Reed's Little Club in NYC way back in 1952 or thereabouts. And yes, he'd always ask for me deck and do a couple of things for me. He wasn't bad. I remember some of the people who worked there - waiters, the maître de, etc., would always say how interesting it was that I made Berle laugh. Yes; it's not easy to make a professional comedian laugh. Although I sure as heck made Mel Brooks laugh thousands of times during our about 50 years of friendship and traveling all over the world together.

Back to the topic, are there any signed delux editions of the Classic Collectin books? I'm pretty sure I heard a rumour there were some. Would love to get my hands on some. Anyone know if they are available anywhere? Maybe even you have some Harry?

The only books of mine wherein some were published in "signed/deluxe" editions were/are THE MAGIC BOOK and the four APOCALYPSE volumes. Never did that with any of my LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION volumes. You can, of course, still purchase signed/autographed copies of any of those volumes - except Vol. 1 - that's sold out.

This may be a little off topic, but I just wanted to thank Harry publically for the wealth of knowledge that he's shared in his books and here on they Café over the years. I'm 51 now and first stumbled across his "How To Develop A Super Power Memory" when I was about 16. It was in our church library. That has helped me remember names for many years now. I had no idea that he was a magician back then. His ultra move is now a part of my skill set. Thank you Harry.

Léo, of course you can. But you shouldn't.
Look for them on eBay, genii marketplace, or online auctions to find them. Now, every single book which is printed is scanned and spread for free by unscrupulous people. Same thing for DVD. It is sad. But don't worry, people who do that just read and know nothing about magic in the real world. And it is not a lost for the authors because they would never buy those products anyway. That's why I like the very expensive books in a limited run. |

If you go to harryloraynemagic.com and check the e-books you'll see that you can get LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, Vol. 1 as an e-book. JAW DROPPERS TWO may head to "sold out" - so if you want it, order it.

I would never do that, and I certainly don't want e-book versions. Ugh! C'mon Harry! Just bite the bullet and give us one more run of these two books! It's going to sell out again! |
