Made a video last December of the National Gingerbread Competition in Asheville, North Carolina. Just now posted it because I'm a rebel and stuff. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tVmkD3x80g&t=120s

I believe the rules are that you have to use edible materials, so yes.
On the flip side of that, my wife got me a gingerbread house kit for Christmas one year and everything was edible but tasted awful. |

Very cool. I'm pretty much a sucker for all things Christmas. I loved this massive Christmas shop in Frankenmuth, Michigan: https://www.bronners.com but my wife and son hated it, so we didn't spend as long as I wanted to there.
Asheville, NC is beautiful!
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

I just came home from a trip to the Eastern Sierra Nevada.
As of July 19, 2017, there were people skiing on Mammoth Mountain; the snow was still sufficiently deep. (As an aside, we learned, interestingly, that our two-year-old collie really, really likes snow.) Northern hemisphere: Winter in July? |
