What do you think?

I think Jacques Ellul is one who knows.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

A little background on Jacques thinking.

Rather fatalistic isn't it? While there are certain points here that are certainly true, movies as an escape from a hum drum life for example, the author has missed a very important point. Some people live their live looking forward to their next real life adventure. I don't know what mine will be, but I wake up each day looking forward to what my job will bring. Every day is just a bit different than the last.

The author also makes no allowances for what having children does for your life. Aside from obviously carrying on the human race, children give a sense of purpose to parents.

I am not sure what this video snipit is a part of, but I must disagree with the author profusely. His point would have suicide as the only means of control in life. That just is not the case.

I couldn't even sit through the first 2 minutes of the initial 6 minute video, but I certainly do agree that anarchism is the fullest and most serious form of socialism.

Is that enough of a discussion for you?

Yes I do, Tommy.

I don't bother with everything I see, you know.

That's over an hour and a half of watching something that doesn't interest me.

How many here besides you and Landmark actually wasted that time?

You watched it for 90 minutes, but couldn't elaborate any more than "What do you think?".

Well, Tommy, what do you think?

At least I answered Landmark's question.

So far only you, me, Cliff, and Landmark have commented at all.

I guess that nobody else here is interested in commenting.

Frankly, I couldn't make heads nor tails of that comment in terms of the relationship between anarchism and socialism. But I was curious mainly about how it applied to Jesus. What of His life was anarchism? What was socialism? What lessons are to be drawn?
