So I started to learn the bottom deal in around 2010, but was quickly put off by its difficulty. I was recently re-inspired to learn it when found my copy of Jason Englands bottom deal video. I saw a thread on here about a bottom deal which prompted me to share mine. Let me know any improvements and criticisms you have. I have been practising properly for around two months.

Rhythm is a bit off . Your bottom deals take longer than your regular deals. And looks like you are digging your middle finger deeper in to the left Palm on bottom deals.

I would add slow down a little bit, it might help your rhythm... not too bad though, keep working.

Ryan,
One of the tells of the bottom deal is when the fingers of the deck hand move out or down as the bottom card is being taken. If possible try to leave your fingers flat. This will help with the deception. Even though you didn't show it on the video, you should also practice sailing the bottom cards. Steve |

I usually aim for the bottom right corner of the deck when pushing the card from the bottom, in an effort to reduce flashing from the top

You might try just loosening the bottom card before the take. It may help in avoiding finger flash.
