I finished watching this a couple of hours ago & it's fantastic.
I have been a Gary Jones fan now for a number of years & have practically everything he has released. I was familiar with some of the stuff on this dvd, but it's always great to see Gary's new take on some of his existing effects as because Gary is a prolific worker, there are always some new bits of business or a little change that elevates an existing routine. This is the sign of a great worker. A sign of someone who works alot, entertains & knows his craft. There are two Paul Gordon effects(which Gary got permission to include & Gary has added to both of them) One of them is(Head to Head Poker). Chris Congreave had added to it a different kicker & a big laugh & Gary has extended this with a funny bit using money and and extra laugh. He also got me with his Ambitious Jazz which are in his notes. I knew the moves but the routine just flipped me. No gimmicks but a great repeat Ambitious Card Packet effect. This reads boring but trust me it looks impossible & I imagine doing this in the spectators hands & seeing their faces. There are 9 effects on here for £7 from a working pro's act and all of them are things you will want to perform. Also there is a ton of advice( which I had to learn through exoerience). Everything this man says I can identify with as I have been there & he is giving it away for peanuts. The information on here will save you years of trial & error. Also he made me laugh out loud on several occasions as he has a nutty sense of humour like me. I enjoyed this lecture loads. It entertained, fooled & inspired me. This along with Mr Congreave's A.T.T.E. lecture are one of the two best lectures I have watched for ages. I didn't switch off. Check one of the magic websites for a list of the effects & get this before someone fools & entertains you with the content. Well done Gary Jones. You are a God among working magicians. You are a legend. Mike Donoghue |

Thanks for the heads up Mike.
Gary is so likable and fun to watch that he would be a great entertainer even if he were only a mediocre magician. But he's not. He is a top notch and extremely talented magician, and one of the very best working pros around as well as a great thinker of magic and routining. I love the touches he puts on everything he does. A legend but yet he still remains so charming and modest, I'm always happy he is willing to share his knowledge and experience. I would personally place him among the select few, along with perhaps Gregory Wilson and Richard Sanders, that I could watch perform for hours on end and be smiling (and laughing) the entire time. I agree that this is one of the most worthwhile lectures I have seen in quite some time. |

Thank you!
Marc was the perfect host, and along with all the banter/gags between us we covered so many important points - and what pitfalls you could encounter on the journey from being a hobbyist to a full-time professional. In this lecture I cover things like pocket management (in detail), approaching and leaving tables/groups, dealing with hecklers, misdirection (in big detail) types of gigs, how to gain confidence, and what to do about messing up and dealing with things when they don't go right - plus loads of effects which I currently use to make my living. The main emphasis of this lecture is on misdirection and pocket management, which I go into great detail. and of course, there are the tricks, some self-working, some not so easy, but nothing difficult. This is different to my other online lectures, as I wanted to go more into detail about misdirecting from the moment you start performing, plus those other finer points about dealing with hecklers, gaining confidence as a performer, dealing with alpha males and how to handle situations when you mess up......This is a jam packed lecture which I had sooo much fun doing.... and I promise everyone will find something they will use... Gary Jones.

Gary is a great guy who really knows his stuff and has been doing this for a very long time, personally I think these lectures are way underpriced, I may have to buy Gary a beer or two to make up the difference.

This is a fantastic lecture I have just watched it from start to finish. The advice alone on this lecture is very good, and the tricks are also very good. If you have this listen to the advice starting at 1hr 57 minutes, how good is that !
