I'm heading to Auckland, NZ for a short holiday. I'm hoping to have some time spare to busk on the streets. Anyone have experience in Auckland. Popular places to busk. And how strict the local council is.

I won't have a permit, and I'll only be doing sidewalk shows.

Busking down Queen Street paritcally on Vulcan Lane is pretty straight forward.

Lot of local circle acts perform down the viaduct area with permits and get good crowds, as Yellow custard mentions, Vulcan Lane on Queen St is good spot if not busy with too many acts, good for sidewalk shows.

Auckland International Buskerfest is on last weekend in January.
