I recently purchased the last 2 volumes of Ibidem in the bound hardback versions, and all I can say is WOW! I absolutely adore all of the mathematical and sneaky principles buried within these pages and can't wait to spend more time really digging into them. That being said, I am looking for more information on other sources that have similar material within them. I have heard Stewart James has comparable stuff but would like to hear what you people have to say!
Thanks! |

Ibidem is so big you should just read that instead of buying more books..

Yep, track down the James material. Also check out Fulves' Pallbearers Review.

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendations. Speaking of Fulves, how is the material in Epilogue and Chronicles?

Epilogue and Chronicles are both very good. Both are incredible resources.
I give the nod to Epilogue but I have them both and refer to them often. |

Epilogue is excellent, but I can only read so many flabby Dingle tricks and esoteric faro excursions before my eyes bleed. Of course, Ibidem is chock full of that kind of stuff, too, but that magazine is bursting at the seams with Lyons’ wit and verve. Fulves’ wit and verve are of a wholly more subdued variety — and noticeably lacking in Epilogue. Chronicles, on the other hand, has more of the offbeat and unusual card and non-card material that makes Pallbearers so wunderbar. There’s a Cyprian trick in there that I love assaulting magicians with. No one does it, and the blow-off at the end will eff your buddies up. |
