Vanishing Glass of Milk Pro by Bazar de Magia
Effect: A narrow tray or stage is displayed along with a glass of milk and a tube. The milk can be seen to jiggle and move within the glass. A tube is show empty and the magician covers the glass of milk with the tube. Magic words are called out or gestures are used to cause the glass to vanish. The tube is lifted, the glass is gone, the tube shown empty. As the magician moves the tray, it is seen that the glass is simply hanging from the bottom of the tray. The magician goofed it up!! Promising to explain how it should have happened, The trick is demonstrated once again. When the audience wants to see the back of the tray, the magician finally gives in and removes the curtain, only to reveal there is no glass of milk hanging from the try. The glass of milk has completely vanished. The End! At this point, the glass can be reproduced from the empty tube if desired, depending on the magician and how long he wished to carry on the effect. Apparatus: The Vanishing Glass of Milk or Back Stage as some people refer to it, is a modern classic magic effect. I believe the late great inventor, craftsman, and magician Jack Hughes of England created it originally. I have seen it on the Abbott’s Magic display shelves for over 50 years. Only recently, they have removed it from their website and catalog, do to lack of skilled craftsman. Other dealers make a version of this effect as well. I have obtained the latest offering by Bazar de Magia. The tray is made out heavy gauge steel expertly made, quality I have never seen in magic apparatus in this day and age. Included apparatus is there newly design and very unique plastic glass, never before created in magic that I am aware of from my knowledge and experience. The heavy gauge aluminum tube (I assume because a magnet does not attract to it) is expertly made with rolled ends, and is very deceptive, when compared to any of the other versions previously offered by other magic manufactures over the years. The tray and tube, has some kind of thick coating, that is not just paint. It will last a long time, as it bonded to the metal on the tray and tube. I don’t know the process, but it looks amazing, and looks like it will take some rough handling, as some props do, during transportation to and from shows. This is a no mess liquid version, that makes it good for traveling to your shows. Just prepare at home, and use it all day long, for multiple engagements. The “stage” is decorated with a curtain that is nicely made and magnetically attaches to the tray/stage quickly and easily. So much better then I have seen other manufacturers use Velcro, and it was troubling to work with while trying to set up at the shows. This is expensive due to the materials used, and the quality of the construction. Suggested retail price is $99.00. World Magic Shop recently reviewed this product and was very enthusiastic in their review and comments. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=iNR22Xj0Tq4 The milk has to be prepared, so you do have to obtain some Milk Tex from Penguin Magic, and a tool from the hobby shop, Amazon, or a pharmacy. Highly recommend this if you are doing stage/standup shows, great for children and adults as well. |

Use milk tex and don't clean it every performance.
I have used mine off and on for weeks before cleaning it. Takes a little time to clean but well worth it in my opinion. |

You are right bowers, If you plan on doing shows all year, then there is not need to clean or replace Milk Tex, no other OOM are not as good as Milk Tex.
Just give it a shake and it is good as new. Take you time and get the correct mixture with distilled water. If you want to clean, use an ear syringe and press air in and it will come out. Use dawn and ear syringe to clean out and rinse several time. Do not use any chemicals. It will destroy the glass. Use this to fill your glass with Milk Tex and to clean as well as the ear syringe. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EZWY3WU/_en......WT&psc=0 Finally, use 3M plastic tape to seal. Clean the area with rubbing alcohol before applying and Pull as you apply the tape. |

Great quality. My only issue is that the tray is very slippery. It's not very wide to begin with so as-is, you need some balancing skills to make sure the glass/tube don't slide off the tray. I fixed the issue by applying a few pieces of black duct tape to the tray. This worked perfectly.
