TUC is indeed very nice. If I'm not mistaken the thickness of the split Focus is slightly thicker than my other three coin set that I have. I've had my older ones for quite a while and to be honest I cannot remember which brands AR butt side-by-side the split focus is slightly thicker but I have to admit the TUC coins are wonderful. One of the reasons I went with split focus is because of the Simplicity of using them I normally do not do coin magic but this is the first time I actually put together a little routine using coins.

Okay let's try this again with explaining my routine. I wear shirts that have multiple pockets on them one on the right side one on the left. To prepare for this I place a coin in each one of my shirt pockets unknown to the audience.I start out by producing the coin the way you see in the video. On the video there is also a routine called grandfather's math. I use that particular handling after I have produced the coin.
What I do is I take the coin and put the heads-up coin in my left hand while explaining I need three coins so I reach into my pocket separate the gimmick and pull out the second coin. I then show my hand empty go into my pocket and pull out the third coin. So now with the whole 3 coin set up in my left hand I pull out all three as one coin and put it into my right pants pocket. I then asked the audience since this is a 3 coin trick and I pulled out one what does that leave in my left? They of course say two coins. I invisibly pull out one coin and toss it up into the air and I pull my right shirt pocket open and pretend that the coin landed in my pocket. I reach in and pull out the coin from my pocket and put it on the table and say that is the second coin. I repeat this using my left hand pocket to throw the invisible coin up in the air and into my pocket. Now of course the audience is at this point thinking I still have the two coins in my hand but I explained to them that since I took out these two coins and there's one in my pants pocket then there's nothing left in my left hand and I open it up to show it is empty. I hope this is understandable if you have any questions please let me know. Good magic to all, Eric |

I was asked why not just perform the affect the way it is taught? Although I believe the teaching is absolutely wonderful on all aspects of this I just thought there would be no problem with basically retaining the coin in your pocket and separating it there since you're going to your pocket anyway.

Thank you for that I appreciate it. So far it seems to work pretty well in practice as well.

Recently sold my Split Focus as the US coins don’t make sense in Canada. How do I transfer my video access to the new owner, please?

I did stick some Casino stickers on the back of the split focus coins, and here is the routine I perform:

Thank You for sharing that! Very nice transformations, productions and vanishes!
How many magicians does it take to change a lightbulb? Regardless, for magicians darkness is a time for d'lite.

What is everyone’s opinion on performing this close up? The coins seem a bit thick to me. Thanks

Also never had any issue, I make sure the coin(s) is(are) always facing the audience. And as bosami says you’re nearly always in motion so it shouldn’t be noticeable.
