Hello everyone,
a little more than ten years ago, Edward Stein published an extremely clever prop: A book of astrological readings called "Astrostar". It allowed to reveal the birthday of a spectator. I wonder whether the method exploited in this book has been used / described earlier. Does anybody know something about the origin? Also I wonder whether this method has been used in other tricks. The only reference I have found so far is "Singer Zinger" by Ian Rowland in Magic Magazine January/2013. He does not mention "Astrostar" or any other sources and calls the principle "invisible data", but this does not seem to be an "official" name (being a computer scientist, I would call it a "hidden channel"). Any reference would be highly welcome. |

Is it the same as this??? https://www.edward-stein.com/shop/soyb-t......66224559 One bad review (2004) but Ted Lesley (RIP) offered to help.. Sounds like there is a problem in the translation. Is this an updated version with the problems solved????

Http://www.miracle-makers.de/shop lists Astrostar and SOYB as two different products, but with essentially the same description. Looks as SOYB is something like the second edition.
In the shop, Astrostar is offered in German language and SOYB in English, but Astrostar was also published in English in 2004, so the difference between both products is not just the language. Still wondering about previous use of variations of the method in other tricks. |
