I use the Zarrow shuffle all the time. It would never fly in a real game, but we are discussing it in a card magic forum. Not one laymen has ever caught me doing the Zarrow during either a gambling demo or effect. The only reason I would use a 3 shuffle sequence is during a gambling demo. All casino poker dealers are required to riffle, riffle, strip, riffle. The best Zarrow I have seen is by Steve Reynolds. I bought his download...well worth it.

I bought his download...well worth it. Hell yeah, it's all about the RRSR! I often read posts on gambling forums to find out what techniques are actually being used by pro dealers. Here's a good example: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/24/ho......-746167/ It's important to note that, when executed expertly, a Zarrow will fly by fast company. It is one of the very few "magic moves" that has made the transition to the murky world of the card sharp. Marty |

The problem, from my point of view, is that in Dingle's handling the top card(s) never get buried in the deck and I find this a big flaw. Easier handlings, though not meeting Dingle’s criteria overcome this issue. As for using the Zarrow in gambling, The Gambling Spot has informative and heated discussions. |

I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned Steve Reynolds. His work on the Zarrow is quite solid. I highly recommend Z. It's an excellent walk through of the fine points of the Zarrow.

Red/Black shuffle is much easier to perform without a tell. Do a new deck order and I'll be a believer. I think a strip out or push through often look more natural than a Zarrow.

I also found this:
