Wow, I am obviously a latecomer to this as I don't frequent this area of the Café. I am truly shocked to hear of Robert McDaniel's passing. He and I corresponded regularly on and off the Café and weeks could go by before I returned many of his pm's or emails (he usually having much more to show and tell than I.) And if I forgot once in a while to correspond back, he would anyway. Our pm chains were so lengthy the Café auto deleted these chains probably 3-4 times over the years and we'd start a new one. So I immediately wondered why having pm'd him twice last couple weeks I had not heard back.
Robert was a faithful online friend. Though we never met we knew of each other's personal as well as magical life...his wife having to move into an asisted living facility, etc. RIP my friend. You have been one of the great inspirations in my magic life. |

Dang, today is three years since we lost our excellent friend Robert "Bob" McDaniel aka Robert M.
Like Bonnie Raitt said, "I miss Little Feat more than I miss being 8 years old." Thanks for the concerts + recordings, Lowell, Richie, and Paul!

I regularly conversed with Robert and miss him very much. I still have many performance videos he shared with me.
