I have found the Gripper Coins to work about the same as violin rosen applied to the coin's edge. The rosen is cheaper but you have to reapply it fairly often.

I'm really thrilled with my Gripper Coins. In spite of having dry hands, I can now easily palm a coin again. I used the coins close up and nobody noticed anything odd about them.

That's nice Mike...Happy you are getting some real use out of these coins. I haven't had the chance to try them yet, but thought of them as an interesting idea, and "ideas" usually mean we're stirring, trying to move forward as to things. Happy that these coins help those with different challenges as we age, or even those with no challenges to just help them faster along. No reason not to have a good Classic Palm when you need it. What do the coins actually feel like? And I wouldn't think specs would notice a thing, they usually don't, but I think magicians more so think they do as to this & that in magic.
Hope to try them one day, and happy to know that Rocco is still on the scene...Tremendous magician! Enjoy my friend.

Are these coins with a rubber band round the edge?

When you go to puchase them you will see they also sell replacement bands so yeah basically. Not your garden variety rubber bands though.

One question not asked: Will they work with an expanded s****?

Motor City,
Just checked for you. My Kennedy Shell fits over the coin but it's a very close fit. Not snug but there is no wiggle room, I think if you wanted to use a shell with the Gripper Coin you might try to expand the shell just a tiny bit more, You could put a silk over the gripper and press down with the shell and then test it, |

When dropped I don't hear any difference. My hearing is not great so I can't say for sure. I don't think any difference will be noticed by spectators.
