Does anyone have suggestions for the best way to vanish the pieces of a card after you tear it up? I don't want to use a thumb tip. I don't want to use a pull. I don't want to use a handkerchief.

In the Mark Wilson book there is a good one.

Someone can chime in and provide the proper credit, but Dani Daortiz offers an excellent method, which he’s put to use in a few different tricks. It’s a clever way to handle the vanish with multiple pieces. It’s not his. If anyone knows what I’m referring to, speak up.

What I'm referring to uses lapping, so I'm not sure that is the route James Warren wants to go... Is it? Yehuda |

Yehuda, yes, I might consider lapping, although I'd prefer not. I have the Utopia set and I'll check that out. I actually want to do this as part of Woody Aragon's "back in time" routine. (Woody doesn't really go into methods for the vanish, beyond suggesting thumbtip or handkerchief, neither of which I like.)
Regarding using David Williamson -- I can't afford him. (If Rocky can do the vanish, maybe Williamson would rent him out for less money.) |

If you wear a watch, Joshua Jay uses a pretty nice vanish in Cornered and Triad Coins which could be adapted to a torn playing card.

Again, lots of methods. Still worth looking into how Williamson does it. It may be a perfect fit depending on the context of your effect. Anyhoo..
