Seeing how this is your last day as our Guest of Honor, I thought I would bring up a topic I don't think you've discussed yet.
Your most recent book Quarks and Quirks, is based on the theme of the Torn and Restored Card. How did this little project come about, and what inspired you to tackle this particular subject?

Hi Steve,
I've always loved effects with single cards, or just two cards. Card Warp being a wonderful example of the genre. Peer pressure (self-inficted, no less) forced me to come up with an examinable version of Hoodwink. As this journey took me back through my notes and thus a rediscovery of all the old topological stuff I'd not finished, it dawned that it may be a nice idea to put it all under one cover - with a theme. It took about a year to conceptualize the book. Quarks & Quirks is my very best topological material, and I'm so happy that it has created a lot of discussion. On another note, I'd like to thank you for having me here this week. It has been fun. Best wishes, Steve! Ben
