The film was taken in Chicago back in the (50-60's) the original film was in color but silent. According to my Dad (the late Billy Bishop).
He knew Charlie Miller and respected him. Dad used to pal around with Johnny Thompson, Don Alan Jack Pyle, Jay Marshall and others. When Charlie Miller came to town he had lunch with him a few times. When we had the magic Shop (1975) at Old Chicago Dad was going to have Charlie Miller be the first lecture in the lecture room. But he could not make it so we booked David Roth... I think Charlie sent my Dad the film at that time because my Dad went out and had a magic film converted to beta max video at that time. But he could have gotten it on an earlier date. And it was for a lecture that he was booking for the new lecture room that was a big deal to him at that time. The original of Charlie Miller was stolden with a small box of magic tapes that was in the back of Bishop's Magic Shop. This happened during a magic lecture. I never met Charlie Miller... And that is the info I have on the Charlie Miller footage and how it came into the Bishop family... And I put it on my web site for others to enjoy...

Including Jack Pyle, Buddy Farnan, Billy Bishop and some of my stuff as well. Enjoy!
