I'm looking for a good marked card deck that a cheat could use at a card table. I heard of one that uses special glasses to see the marks, but I cannot find it online. Any suggestions/opinions?

The Stripper Mark Deck has a fairly invisible Mark. Not only is it marked but also the cards are easy to control.

The punched deck is an option for knowing the location of all the high cards. It is not necessary to have a full marked deck in the context of gambling.

You can find a few different mark decks at ebay, including the sunglass one.

If the aim is to cheat, I would strongly suggest marking up your own deck with your own system - after all, you don't want somebody else recognising your system!

I agree with what MarkFarrar said. You can use an ordinary sized Sharpie to make your own marked deck. A symbol as small as a dot will do. Just remember where to look plus throw in a little misdirection while you glance the marked back of the card.

Scratch marks with a pin on the back of your cards. Use sanpaper edgwork on bees.
What is your real name? That way I will know to not play cards with you.

Hi dluong,
First you should tell us which game(s) you will be playing, as it affects the marks you could/should use. For example; in Blackjack you only need to mark the high cards (the suit is of no importance). But I strongly suggest you re-read the posts of Mark S. Farrar & Pete Biro. And on the subject of marked cards, the book "Marked For Life" by Kirk Charles is A MUST!!! I also noticed that you are a new member; did you use the "search" function of this forum (do not forget the Archive section too) as this subject as been discussed a few times before. With a marked stripper deck can other people deal the cards? I don't use stripper decks for anything, so I don't know if they would be able to tell.

<<I don't understand the "Use sanpaper edgwork on bees"
>> Edgework is a very powerful method of marking the cards. It allows you to keep track of the marked cards anywhere in the deck. It can get to be extremely complex... even Cardini said he found it too difficult (and this is Cardini). In its simplest forms, you can simply nick the cards with your fingernail. If you want to get really into it, mark with a small file. As for the marked cards that whose markings can only be seen with special sunglasses, I say save your money. On ebay they cost $100, and from what I hear, they are sorely disappointing. Plus there's much cheaper ways to do the same thing. I'd still prefer a method that is visible to the trained naked eye rather than using any sunglasses method. |

Thanks to everybody again for posting and helping me out...i've heard a lot about the boris wild system, and the ted lesley system. if I bought either of these systems...would I be able to mark additional decks by scratching with a safety pin? are they easily detectable on a bicycle deck? and do I mark both numbers and shapes? can I see it from across the table while at an angle with the cards flat on the table?
thanks again dluong |

Any mark is easily detectable if you know how or where to look for them.
If you're planning on cheating at Texas hold'em, you're going to need marks that are visible at distance and that can be quickly read. It will also depend on how your opponent holds their cards, etc. Both Wild's and Lesley's systems are designed for magicians and neither are undetectable. No, you can't reproduce either system without the proper materials. Have fun. Glad you're not cheating with any of the gamblers I know. Oh, yeah, be careful who your marks are, because with some of guys I know, it would cost you a lot more than money if they caught you.

There is a method of marking cards, whereby a forensic document examiner can examine the backs and neither he nor anyone else will find any marks there. Despite this fact, the cheat can tell if you have been dealt a pair of kings, for example.
This method has been published.

Recently a friend and I were practicing some sleights with a deck of mine. The deck was marked with the Boris wild method, although I didn't know it when I grabbed the deck. I just took one that was in easy reach.
My friend had seen the Boris wild marked deck before, but has never worked with it. The minute I opened the deck and spread the cards I knew I had taken the marked deck. After two hours of toying around with the cards my friend still hadn't commented on the marks. I told him the cards were marked. He looked for the marks and found them in about 10 seconds. What I'm trying to say is this: if you're not looking for marked cards you won't see the Boris wild marks even if you have seen the method of marking before. If you do look for marked cards, you'll spot them in a minute (if you don't look for marked cards but have worked with the system, you spot them easily as well). So, do you play with people who look for marked cards or not? If not, I'd like to play in that game. . Peter |

Some have eyes but cannot see. We have more than one sense, touch is another. You can loose money faster than a blind man in a poker game, if you were to rely on sight alone.

Where is the published information on the mark the forensic expert cannot see? Please share. Thanks.

You could make a good one yourself. You could use a white pen and write the initials of the card diagonaly on a bicycle card.
