Paul,
Can you share one of the most funniest things that has ever happened to you while doing Magic. Tom James |

Hey Tom,
Well, Eric Clapton saved my butt one time... I was in college (University of Florida - never graduated) in Gainesville and Clapton was performing in Jacksonville. A bunch of us packed into a couple of cars and drove up to the concert, got in. Charlie Daniels was the opening act, this is in the late '70's. I was stone cold sober, but there was a distinct aroma of THC in the air. When CDB finished there was an intermission to change the band's instruments during which I, of course, started doing card magic for the stoners. So it was all big fun for a few minutes and I decide to do the Multiple Selection Routine and about three revelations into it I popped out the wrong card. No problem, jazzed a bit and produced the correct selection. Next card was incorrect too, which is usually an indication that my stock of selections is not on top, that I've made some sort of blunder. So my sphincter is getting in a small knot as I'm thinking this is gonna be a pain in the you-know-where ... and the lights went down and Clapton came on and I was off the hook! I've loved Clapton ever since! About two weeks ago, Clapton played Jacksonville again and again I went to see him after 25 years. No stoners, no card tricks, and no story; but man can that guy play a quitar. It rocked. Paul |

Hey Paul...you can almost include our adventure to D.C.
The more our friendship continues...the funnier it gets! Mike |

That was a funny trip. Perhaps I'll let you tell 'em about that one...

I can share one on Paul.
Chad Long was trapped on Amelia Island after a show due to his car breaking down. Paul and I jumped into my car and drive from Jax to Amelia Island to pick him up. Paul was practicing the most convincing invisible pass I had ever seen. Of course it being 11:00 at night and no street lights might have helped with the "shade". |

Sadly, they were the best passes I ever did. Invisible to everyone present, as were the cards and my hands. That was a fun night, Terry, though Chad might feel otherwise...
Congrats on the new baby. Paul |

Thanks Paul!
As I remember it, Chad was happy to see us. Of course, playing pool at your house until 4AM and having to be at work at 7AM, I don't remember much of the next day. |
