I once saw a business card being shown blank on both side using some kind of paddle move. I don't remember exactly how it was performed but would like to learn the routine.
Can anyone direct me to a source for a nice paddle move with the business card? |

I think that the move you saw was certainly performed and explained by Vernon in one of his books, and might have originated with him as well. Sorry, can't be more specific than that as it is one of those moves performed a lot but seldom questioned; paternity very old.

On the movie jawjroppers, they do a great routine with a blank business card. I think that is what you are talking about.

Hi Mip,
In " The Complete Idiots Guide To Magic" there is a routine for showing your business card blank and then printing it in your hand. This had a type of paddle move. PM me if want to know the move. Misdirection Master |

There are a couple of paddle moves that I can think of right off the top of my head. One is the traditional “Push Through” move. Card at the fingertips palm up open hand, close the hand as you turn it palm down, push the card out of the closed hand with the thumb. The same side shows.
Or, have the card laying on your palm up hand; bend the index finger under the edge of the card and the second finger on top (clipping the card). The same surface stays face up as your turn your hand palm down and extend the fingers as if to hand out the card. This is a variation of the Carlyle move that Paul references. Yes there are others but this should get you started.
