Rafael, for your wonderful music, you spend some time in different parts in the world. On this way which magician, book or event had the strongest influence in your magic live (performing, style, thinking, practice)?

It's been years since I don't perform music professionally on a regular basis. Still, I do get to travel quite a bit with the magic. For an influential performer I'd think of Martin Nash. I saw him at the Castle before I got into magic, and I remembered him and his name. About fifteen years later I went to the Castle to perform and he was there and we became friends. For a book, I'd mention one of the Ascanio spiral-bound books with his Oil and Water handling (I perform two phases of it as a bonus at the end of my Cups and Balls video). Another book I've spent a lot of time with is The Classic Magic of Larry Jennings. Also, the time I spent with Johnny Thompson, before I thought of turning pro, while he was working at the Scala in Madrid. He taught me ideas of legendary masters that he had learned first hand.
