First of all, please don't reveal any magic secrets in this thread. I don't want me, or anyone else to get in trouble. This is Magic Q&A. Trivia about magic. I will explain the rules. This is the place to test your knowledge of magic. I will set a Q, the one who answers it gets to set a new question. It's just a game, I don't really have a prize to who I think is the winner. Maybe someone can suggest one for me if it is not against the rules of the forum. If there is a rule against it then there will be no prize. If after 3 guesses, and no one gets it correct, then the person who created the question that no one could answer, makes a new Q.
First Q, Who were the two people who created the Balducci levitation? One last thing, don't make questions that no one in the world can answer... Just so everyone has a chance.

For what it's worth...
According to Mike Close in his "Marketplace" column in the June 1997 issue of Magic Magazine, " . . . all the current self-levitations have their basis in two articles published by Karl Fulves. The first titled "Impromptu Levitation" can be found in the July 1974 issue of the Pallbearer's Review (Volume 9, Number 9, page 755.) Ed Balducci is credited in the article, but he explains that he was shown the method by Erwin Levine, who was one of the Harmonicats. Mr. Levine had no idea who the originator was." DA |

Correct! I would have either acepted Ed Balducci or Erwin Levine. The answer can also be found in ellusionist.com. Multiple Q's now! Next Q:
What does the term, "deck culling" mean? (no, not cutting) Mac King does what kind of magic? (scary, stage, street, comedy...) A chop cup can be used for cups & balls, what does it do? Last one: How many different types of levitations did Blain do in his street magic special on TLC? When everyone answers all of the Q's, the one who answered last gets to make up a questions or multiple questions. (no more than four!)

Nitrous' quiz asks:
"What does the term, "deck culling" mean?" It's like hog calling, except you use a deck of cards and an Arkansas accent. "Mac King does what kind of magic? (scary, stage, street, comedy...)" Exposures, anytime I've seen him on TV. "A chop cup can be used for cups & balls, what does it do?" During a cups and balls routine, it holds your chop (whatever that is!). "How many different types of levitations did Blaine do in his street magic special on TLC?" Not enough, apparently. He kept coming back! |
