I think the Mercury fold is awesome!
It is a great piece of magic and I think it is very useful for fantastic effects. I know the concept but I am just wondering where can I get a real hardcore book that discusses this in great detail. I would appreciate it. Thanks you all.

I don't really think there will be one book on just a simple fold. It is only really known for one trick but if you use imagination you can do a lot with it. I have never seen a book or tape on murcury fold but there should be one that shows you different effects to do with it.

I've been a magic enthusiast for a while an the only place I've seen the full explanation in in "Expert Card Technique".
There are a couple of other folds that are a bit different out there somewhere but I'm not sure where. Sorry. Of course the Mercury Fold can be used for a variety of revelations. To shoe, mouth, paper clipped to name a few. It's practicing for a good fold that can get a little costly so save those old cards. Happy Holidays! |

I think it was also in one of Harry Lorayne's Apocalypse books.

Paul Green's IN THE TRENCHES DVD explains the move in detail. You also get many of Paul's favorite routines with cards, ropes, coins, and spongeballs. It's magic that's practical and memorable. Highly recommended!
I learned the Mercury Fold from this DVD and using card decks from the dollar store. I found one that sells 2 decks for $1.oo. |

It's easy when you know how and done literally in the blink of an eye BUT a lot of practise makes perfect... it does have what some consider a downfall - it's done with the pack held face up...
catch you later

It's just a method of folding a card without the spectators knowing.
Doug has a DVD that's on using a folded card for his effects. It's called Get Bent. cheerios

It takes practice to get it down, it'll kill a lot of cards though.

Make sure you have some old worn out decks to practice with, or this is going to cost you some money!
Sankey is a great teacher on this one, and his effect Paperclipped is the one he uses when nothing else gets them. He also has some other effects for the move, and his newest DVD, as I recall, uses it in a brand new routine. well worth learning, but get "Paperclipped" by Sankey, because he explains the real work on it, including psychological subtleties.
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.
