Hi Everybody
I'd like to buy the fender PD150 ,I normally perform indoor before an audience of 100/250 people. I'm not sure if the PD150 will reach everyone with a good quality sound. Or maybe would be better to buy the PD 250? What do you think? I know that have been similar threads about this matter but maybe this time you could tell me how many people you think it's the average number to perform indoor with a good quality sound. Thanks in advance |

The Fender has been discussed extensively here on the Café. Both are excellent, and for most purposes the 150 would do. Any larger audience most like has a professonal sound system.
For a specific number, that tough.

Mark...from Mars? Do you know Mork from Ork?
:) If you are questioning the decision I believe you should be safe and go with the PD250. The only downside is that the 250 is a little more costly and a little heavier than the 150. I own a Fender PD250 and I really like it. It has plenty power and is capable of a covering a good sized venue. Like Dennis said, both are excellent and I really don't believe you can go wrong either way, but to safe, I would recommend the PD250. Afterall, you can always turn it down. Just make sure Mars has 120V AC power power available! :) Hope this helps. Regan

The biggest advanvantage of the much heavier 250 is multiple connections. This unit was designed for a small band to sound loud and have four units connected to it. It is far more power than necessary, however, it is easier to control less power than have a need for it and not have it. I own both, but rarely use the 250 because of the weight. The 150 works fine for most school venues.

The 150 works really well for me. I have used it for 600 people and it worked excellent. The 250 to me is to big and if you are not doing 700 people or more in all your shows it is a waste. Again the 150 plays great sounds great and I have never gone past the half way mark on the volume on it.

I use the Fender Passport 150 with a Sure Microphone.
You will also want to purchase two tripods for the speakers to get them to the proper elevation during performance. I love the self-contained carrying feature that the F.P. 150 allows. This is highly recommended! |

Mark,
You likely will not be disappointed. IT's a terrific system. Now Fender also makes terrific add ons such as battery operation and even an Executive Wireless mic system with a wireless stick and lav. Mike |

Mark,
I recently purchased the PD250 for my school shows. While it is heavier than the PD150 I decided that I would rather have the extra power for larger shows than not have it when I need it. It's a great system and I know you will enjoy using it. |

I was in the same deliema what to get, the PD250 or PD150? I decided on the PD150 due to the compactness and after reading Ken Scott's posts and several others, the PD150 won out.
I also own a Fostex powered 100 watt speaker and if I ever do need more power, I'll just hook up a wireless transmitter to the Fender with the receiver to the Fostex, I'll be able to fill any room with no extra wires! Thanks to Glodmagic for that idea! Robert |

We just did a school show for about 300 people, and our Passport 150 did the job with plenty to spare.
