A few years back, my home was broken into and robbed. They managed to make off with my briefcase which contained my favorite and most used close-up items.
I am in the process of replacing what I can, which is difficult to say the least. A lot of the items have changed/updated over the years, and others I just can't remember what the heck it was called, etc... I had a small wooden dice tube I purchased years ago at a Hank Lee convention in Baltimore (aging myself, I know). and would like to see if anyone has info regarding it. Hand crafted from wood with either a rabbit or a top hat on the front. a stack of 3 or 4 dice (2-3 white/1 black), are covered with said tube. When lifted, the black die had changed location in the stack. The only other info I can remember is the "title" had the word "hop or hopping" in it. The height is approx. 3" x 3/4" sq. Thank you for any help and info attained. Again, hello all!! Croaker |

Although I have not seen the exact model you are describing, it sounds like Mephisto Dice Tube or Elevator Dice (same trick, different names). Do a Google image search for both of those names and see if anything rings a bell. There are also versions with small skeleton, Hindu boy, etc.
I am actually working on a slightly larger version with colored 1 1/8" cubes that will be available soon. I may consider doing the micro version later.

Michael, You're my hero. Mephisto Dice Tube is the exact effect!
While the one I had was a collectible item, this will do as a suitable replacement. Keep me/us posted when your version is available, as I'd be interested in seeing how it looks and works. Thanks again, bud! Croaker |

Since I posted last, I decided to go ahead and start about a half dozen sets of the smaller ones (3/4" blocks). Mine are all being made with colored blocks, not dice.
