Tommy Wonder's version of Wild Card is actually my favorite packet trick, if the number of cards in play reduce to 8, does it count? LOL

Larry West's "Eight Ball", while it uses five cards in the original version, Wiz Kid Qua-Fiki realized it could be expanded when he created a color version of it using his Go Fish theme for a trick called "Widdle Fithies" in his School Fish Chapter. Whether you perform it with different color billiard balls imprinted on the cards, or different color fish, or planets, or sports balls of all types, you can expand it to seven plus one more for a "grand finale" card with no trouble.

I love an 8 card trick, not sure what its name is but you use 4 Kings and 4 Queens. Or 4 of a kind of any two cards. It is self working. Spectator has to choose a card in his mind. After a few steps, the cards get setup in a way that even if the spectator lies, the packet points to the correct card thought of(chosen). I find this trick really cool.

Change Packet by Dunn Alei. Very visual 4 for 4 change.

I second 8 card brain wave and there's a version called Odd Ball where all the cards can be examined right at the end.

I absolutely concur with Reset, a go-to for me, and also adaptable to story telling. For a self-worker 8 card trick, I like Nick Trost's "Double Discovery" which is also known as "Kings and Aces". Lynn

Jasper, Do you have a source for oddball, which you describe as being like eight-card brainwave but examinable at the end? I found lots of tricks called oddball, but none were card tricks. Thanks...

I never got that far in the book but just checked this out last night and I really like this combination of effects. It's going into the practice que for sure.

I like the king/aces transposition from Helder Guimaraes that can be found in his red mirror dvd.
